The black knight

This jacket is a 1/1 piece which emerged unwittingly. My friends and I were at a Sip & Paint event, and during the painting session, some paint was mistakenly put on my jacket by a friend, which gave me the idea to turn my handy longtime jacket into an art piece. By using a specialist paint, I achieved the acrylic style on a not-so-traditional canvas. This was the first time I had attempted to paint on waterproof fabric, and an abstract yellow and red were my first choices for the black fabric. The name “Black Knight” was given to this jacket because knight and night are homophones, and this jacket is both a testament of the nocturnal worker and a symbol of the aspirational journey towards knightly valour. the back of the jacket showcases a significantly more intricate design. A scarab beetle revered in various cultures and prominently featured in Egyptian mythology is a symbol of regeneration & rebirth in other words it is a symbol of growth. in my depiction the beetle is holding up an eye which has a flower plant growing and flourishing from its pupil because in my mind it is important to remember we must first invision the growth and positive change, the image illustrates that through small daily actions we cultivate the flowers of our labour, which enlighten the blossoming of our efforts, further fuelling the theme of growth within this design. At the top of the jacket Morezaie.com is branded. In order to contact me for a custom piece, please do so from my INSTAGRAM morezaie.co
